Elementary teacher certification project files, 1960-1962.

This series documents the work of the Advisory Committee for the Elementary Teacher Certification Project. The committee was created by the Assistant Commissioner for Higher Education to make a report to the Commissioner of Education and the Board of Regents to assist them in their revision of certification standards. The series includes: minutes of the committee's meetings; reports of the committee's regional hearings; correspondence from administrators, teachers, local teacher certification committees, and professional education associations; and findings and recommendations of the committee to the commissioner.
